The Beginning
To know the founder is to know that there is a true passion and fondness for aromatic candles.
Like a moth drawn to a flame, Penny has always been a candle lover. During her matriculation at Tennessee State University and throughout adulthood, she has enjoyed her home having a special ambiance and inviting fragrance.
After starting a journey towards cleaner living, she decided to make a quality product and more at a great value. Putting self care at the forefront and focusing on fragrances centered around aromatherapy and relaxation, she knew something great would come to fruition.
Through research and finding that many candles included toxins and or irritants such as parabens, phthalates and paraffins, P.S. Essential Scents was born. Her products are made using a premium coconut soy wax blend. The benefits of using a coconut soy wax blend are many but a few are that it is nontoxic, biodegradable, vegan-friendly and you will have no pollutants filling your air. With this in mind, she has chosen not to include unnecessary additives or dyes and selects the highest quality fragrance oils infused with essential oils made here in the United States.
P.S. Essential Scents was founded with one goal in mind: providing a high-quality, lead and phthalate free soy based product with a slow burn. This passion for excellence has driven us from the beginning, and continues to drive P.S. Essential Scents into the future.
